Personality:

Crowley isn’t your typical normal run of the mill demon. Actually he rather dislikes most of his “colleagues” and in fact he does well to not really associate with them at all. Crowley’s time on Earth has changed him considerably it’s had an impact so much so that he actually has come to like and enjoy humans more than he should. It’s a rather jarring failing in being a demon and it gets him into loads of trouble. Not only does he enjoy humans to a point of taking up their mannerisms and interest in technology, which he uses to do his dirty work, he likes them so much that he tries to thwart the Apocalypse. He’s a bit selfish in that regardless of it being his duty he wants Earth to survive and live through this. He even goes so far as to stand against Lucifer when he rises albeit it was with a tire iron. He was supportive of the Apocalypse in general terms but he still wants humans to live. So frankly when he finds out the Anti-Christ is actually humane he’s pretty darn happy about it.

In terms of other demons Crowley is a bit anxious often not liking their company; his two bosses Hastur and Ligur are good examples. When the two Dukes finally come around to collect Crowley after Hell realizes his complete and utter failure in handling the Apocalypse Crowley panics. In this instance we can see some of Crowley’s cunning and otherwise ruthless nature where he douses Ligur with a bucket of holy water presumably killing him and using the phone to his advantage to comically trap Hastur within his answering machine. Crowley safe to say is fearful of certain things Beelzebub, Hell, and Lucifer himself naturally. You can't very well trust anyone from the homeland really. The fact that he kills an upper level demon is probably the only instance where he showcases his demonic nature, oh and when he scares the crap out of the guy who shot him and Azriaphale with a paintball gun but that was just for fun.

Crowley tempts it's his job, gig, what have you. He was the serpent who tempted Eve into biting the apple and he enjoyed it thoroughly. In all actuality never once in the book does Crowley ever tempt anyone the homicidal paintball incident wasn’t in truth tempting but merely Crowley seeing and knowing what they wanted and simply giving it to them ‘it’ happened to be guns, but he made all of them escape with their lives so no harm done, right? The only person he ever seems to tempt or at least lead on to looking like he’s doing is Aziraphale.

Another aspect of his personality is that he does question, everything. His first time meeting Aziraphale is a perfect example. The demon started his and Aziraphale’s meeting with a question as to whether he had done the right thing and not just out of ineffable planning. Crowley has something along the lines of a humanistic outlook on life which he calls a game of solitaire that God likes to play. Crowley can’t help but question everything it’s because he finally comes to realize free will something which he’s never had. It’s not that he really gains it but more along the lines of finally seeing it in the humans he’s been around since their creation. This as you probably guessed lands him even deeper into Hell’s bad books.

Crowley’s personality isn't fully understood until one delves into his relationship with Aziraphale. They enjoy each other’s company and as stated in the book they get along better than either of their superiors ever would. It’s apparent that they both have rubbed off on one another, though you would too if you hung around the same person for six thousand years. Each of them showcases contrasting personality traits to their respective alignments. An example of this is when Aziraphale shows blatant disregard to healing a dove which he killed with his botched magic act. Crowley steps in and miracles it back to life even though he’s never shown to having expressed a liking towards God’s creatures he goes out on a limb and does it anyway. Pretty much summing up is that Aziraphale is a bastard sometimes and Crowley is actually kind of nice but neither of them will willingly admit to that.

He’s pretty materialistic and quite vain too. He shows a distinct liking towards shiny, expensive things an example from the book being him wanting to steal some tires and hubcaps from some nice looking cars. He also has all the latest modern gadgets of the time period even if he hardly uses them, like the computer in his flat and his television. Though given the fact that he speaks modernly and is up to date on certain things, he probably uses the computer and television at times. His most cherished possession is his car. Something akin to Aziraphale’s books Crowley’s car is a symbolic representation of himself, and when it’s destroyed he’s obviously devastated but it also shows that the both of them sacrificed things of great importance to save humanity and the world they cared about, or at least not willingly admitted to caring for in Crowley’s case.

Strengths:

Physical:
Outwardly Crowley’s physical appearance doesn’t seem to encompass much he looks pretty normal but he has the ability to shape shift. He has multiple forms for one his snake form which he took up in Eden and of course his “true” demonic form. However he never really likes using the latter because he might forget what he looked like before he used it. He can heal his own wounds, miracle people back to life, get drunk and then sober up in a few seconds, and he’s got the ability to change the space around him just by mentally thinking about it. He also has the standard issued feathery wings most angels get. He also doesn’t need to sleep or eat but Crowley is indulgent so he does so willingly.

Mental: Crowley has an expansive knowledge of the world and everything in it. He’s into television, worldly news, and probably even the internet, so he’s pretty up to date as far as common knowledge is concerned. He also has a knack for speaking in a more modern fashion due to taking up human jargon. Crowley is also said to have the ability of knowing just exactly what someone wants specifically for tempting purposes, making him very good at his designated job. Basically Crowley is pretty chill when it comes down to the basics of it.

Emotional: Crowley’s pretty upbeat; he’s an optimist even in the most damned situations specifically when ‘hell is out to get him’. He gets his kicks from watching humans, their affairs, and how they all turn out from his self made wiles because he hasn’t been doing that for the past 6000 years. What? He finds the buggers amusing. He doesn’t necessarily get too intimate with humans but it’s not like he’ll never talk to them especially when he has a chance to create some wiles. In retrospect, Crowley has the most emotional connections towards humans. He understands them on a fundamental level and that in and of itself has rubbed off on him, giving a broader spectrum towards life. He likes the simple things, whether it is sushi or feeding ducks at the park. He enjoys life for more than just creating wiles and problems for humanity. He enjoys it because he’s gained an appreciation for humans and the world in general.

Weaknesses:

Physical: Only weakness that a demon could possibly have is holy water, a good smiting from heaven, or you could just play some songs from a Best of Queen album and you’ve bested this one. He’s not much of a fighter and usually falls back to his cunningness (ie: trapping Hastur in the answering machine or even the simple trick of a bucket of water over the door with Ligur).

Mental: Crowley is a bit shaken from his position and time in Hell. His house plants are perfect examples of this because when one isn’t up to standards he ultimately throws it out because of that fact. Much like what hell almost did to him after learning how he messed up the Apocalypse and became more humanized after staying on earth for too long. Safe to say he won’t trust you very much if you’re a demon and frankly he’ll most likely avoid you. Crowley, albeit being clever, has a tendency to not fully think out his plans. The attack on Hastur and Ligur is a perfect example as he makes both a plan A and B but never a C since he never thought he’d have to go past B, see the faulty logic there?

Emotional: He’s never one to take sides and he generally sticks to the morally gray area which is just observing usually. However only if it’s in his interest or going to destroy something he likes a lot will he ever show a faint bit of caring or even anger. It’s in this way that he’s a bit self centered and selfish. When things get bad he’s usually the first to lose his cool though compared to his angelic companion. He’s attached to a few things specifically: humans, Earth, and Aziraphale most should not be a weakness of a demon which in turn makes them pretty big faults.

Also here are details for his abilities/powers:

Addendum: The power cap will limit his abilities to miracle things into existence. Nothing like super extravagant like his car or anything, which idk if he can even do in canon. Physically, since Crowley isn't much of a fighter (which is a weakness in and of itself, since he tends to act like a normal human civilian most of the time) his ability to comeback from his wounds will be hampered. So if he got injured he wouldn't be able to heal himself entirely, and it might take him awhile to actually do so. Along with feeling so very unnaturally fatigued on his part. So this could give him a feeling and sense of mortality, for the most part.

His ability to travel will also be hampered and he'll only be able to transport himself so far before feeling the effects of doing so.

× Desire reading - It's implied that Crowley has some mind-reading ability, or at least the ability to sense the desires of others. "Every desire in his head was for a real gun" as the quote from the book goes. Basically Crowley has some form of telepathy that allows him to hear or see what people most desire. However this probably won’t work on higher beings like gods and other angels.

× Hypnosis - Crowley can hypnotize people with the snap of his finger. Again this will be null and void on people of high resistance or deities.

× Physical removal - Crowley can abandon his physical body and 'possess' another. Or simply make himself smaller.

× Spring cleaning - "Then he began to smile. He snapped his fingers. A pair of dark glasses materialized out of his eyes. The ash vanished from his suit and skin. What the hell. If you had to go, why not go with style?" Quote shows he has the ability to fix relatively small incurred damages to his person.

× Resistance to fire

× Miracle himself places – which is pretty much just teleporting himself around. He and Aziraphale have done it for one another at times.

× Can see well in the dark

× Has a true demonic form

× Wing materialization
